Aw, you're all so sweet!
Does anyone live in Wales? I wish I'd bought some extra postcards in the summer now!
Hetty's adventures look fantastic. We do a Barney Bear thing in year 1 but it's nowhere near as much fun as Hetty.
The display is building up now, the flags are done and up, labels on the countries, so next it's getting them to find out where to put the cities.

I know it was asked before, but do you want the children to post, or would you just like random cards from a few places?

I can do you most of Cornwall and, if you want worldwide, Cairo and prob a few European/American cities (will just have to ask friends to send me something first).

Just drop me a line if interested.

D.

I just wanted a few cards from places in the UK, ideally from schools/children. It's just to make places seem a bit more real to our kids. I work in a small school on a fairly deprived estate on the edge of a small city. Some of our year 3's experience of the wider world is severely limited.
So thanks for the offer of far flung places but just a nice one from Cornwall would be lovely Smile

Linda

Ok - kids have done postcards and they have been posted today. One from each member of the class - all 7 of them! lol! By this time next week the class will have 3 new pupils though.

Ok, sorted, each group in yr 3 are writing you a card tomorrow... something along the lines of a 'Hi from Cornwall' - and a bit about the county / country life, etc... will try and relate to the pictures on the cards... ok for ya?

Aw, you guys are ace! I'll be on the lookout for them.

7 kids in the schoool? Wow! I thought we were small (153 not including nursery) but so few kids must bring it's own problems.

7 kids in that class, P1-4, there is another class with 13 pupils, P5-7. We are getting 4 new pupils from 2 new families in the next few days to boost our numbers a bit! No. of IEP's goes up too though!

Yuk - just talked ours through with yr3 teacher today. I hate doing IEPs. On the bright side your postcards arrived today. Thank you so much. They are great! BTW perhaps our kids can ask yours something about Vikings next term. LOL Smile
Thanks again
