Yes ! I had to chase the OU a bit today to find out whether they would allow me on the course at this late stage but they said yes ! The registration paperwork is being sorted out (also had to cancel K204 due to start in Feb. as I can't do 2 courses together) tomorrow and I'm hoping to get the studying material before the starting date, but they said it might be late.... At least now I know what the first assignment is about, I might be able to make a start on it.
Can someone tell me when the first TMA is due please ?
Thank you !
Shorty. |

Thanks Girltronik ! I went to my first tutorial yesterday too and made quite a few notes about tma01. However, I haven't started reading anything yet as I'm concentrating on revision for the U212 exam I'll be taking on Wednesday ! Once the exam is out of the way, I'll be diving into E111 and catching up with the reading.

Hello
I should have been at the tutorial on the 13th but was unable to go due to family commitments. Could anybody be kind enough to tell me what the tutorial was mainly about.
Thank you! |

Hi Fluffy
I'm sure you'll get your notes sent by your tutor, but it was mainly about sticking to a strict-ish timetable, get proof of posting for tma's(not the sign for type!).Then going through course learning outcomes and how many times to put them in your tma - each one x 2 to 3 times ie KU1.1 (learning through experiences) has to be 'used' 2-3 times somewhere in your write up.
Have a look through all the TMA's and have a look to see when you have to do an activity in school or an observation. Then you'll be prepared and have plenty of time(who are they tryin to kid.lol) to organise things.
I'm sure it'll all become clear when you've got your notes
Hope this helps...

I went to my first tutorial ystday and I was told that you only have to get your learning outcome in once and to stick to the main points and try not to waffle to much. AAgh conflicting tutors. Think I will e-mail my tutor just to make sure.

Hi Louiw
I'm sure you don't have to I can't really see the point of putting it in more than once as long as you have covered the learning outcome and put in it pencil in the margin to claim it. I think the 1st TMA is all about finding your feet and they don't expect you to get it all correct first time.
I read in your file that you like crafting - is this card making or scrapbooking as I love them both and am finding it very hard to fit them in at the mo!! I have two boys ages 10 + 6 and work full time as an LSA. Hey ho on we go!!

Fantastic! A fellow crafter. Ha Ha. Yes have made a few Xmas cards can't get into the spirt yet. Have you been to a tutorial yet! Mine was on Sat and was very helpful, and my tutor e-mailed me all the main points which has been good to refer to. Good luck
