Well that's it, I've bitten the bullet and registered for U212. So I am now going to be very busy over the next few months, with DD100 on the go and HLTA assessment looming, although a date hasn't been fixed for that yet!
At least I'm not already behind as it seems from your postings that no-one has their course resources yet. Are they available to you all online yet? |

Been online today and done some reading from the materials there. Seems like the first week is mainly watching some videos and reading a discussion of them. Not too bad. It's a shame it's only the work books online and not the video or reading materials.
Oh well it'll start soon enough!! |

Have been looking at the videos tonight but will look again over the weekend. My heads spinning at the moment will all the information to take in. So will digest it in small bits.
Have to say the videos were very interesting. |

Bluebell,
I know what you mean. I got my books yesterday started reading and ended up with my head spinning from so much information. I'm going to read some more today and hopefully it will start making sense. I haven't looked at the videos yet but what I've read looks interesting. |

Had a good session today with course material. I have decided to write down the learning outcome for TMA01 and objectives to get me strated and hopefully this will guide me in the right direction in the reading.
Hope it works! |

Bluebell,
let me know how you get on. I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing yet and really need to get myself organised. I viewed all the video and audio for week 0 today and read everything related to that. Am I right in thinking that this was a weeks worth of work! Whilst listening to the audio I actually dozed off |

Chocolate Fudge Brownie, when I did E111 my tutor asked me to put the outcomes in using a nifty little thing in word which I will attempt to explain!!
If you go to insert on the tool bar you will find comment, if you highlight the text you want to 'comment' on and then go to insert and click on comment it will give you a little box in the margin which you can then type in the LO code.
My tutor also told me to just highlight the beginning of the sentence or the pertinent words so you didn't have loads of blodges of colour to distract from the text.
If this doesn't make sense, which I am not sure it will, please PM me and I will send you an example (comments won't cut and paste!) |

Hi chocolate FB, Not sure what you mean by learning outcomes and having to claim them. In the assignment booklet it only tells you the question and then goes on to suggest how we might approach the question.
The learning outcomes for the units just refer to the units i think and are there to make sure we understand everything which we may be important for one of the tma choices or for the exam.
I did E111 last year, so get what you mean about writing the outcomes in the side, but i don't think we have to do it for this one. Just answer the question, support with evidence and reference everything!
Which Q are people thinking of doing?

yes just to add to what Chloe has said. You don't need to claim learning outcomes on this course.
What you need to do with the learning outcomes at the end of the instructions for TMAs is to check your work to make sure you have included information relating to them within your essay.
i always write them down before I start a TMA and use them to keep me on task and not wander off topic.
Use the 'suggested' approach to keep you on topic.
Chocolate Fudge brownie,
I have decided to go for option 2, But how???? I have no idea just yet. That is what I am working on now. |
