I have been thinking about what I should do next after E111. These two courses both look interesting child development ED209 and childhood u212. I wondered if any one had done either and how they found them. I am aiming for an open degree, so either would fit with that.I have registered to do human biology in November but want something child centered to do along side it. I did do a Btec childhood studies course in 2000, so have covered abit of development, as well as bringing up 4 of my own. Has anyone done any other couses of this sort on OU they could recommend? There is so many courses not sure what way to go next?
Thanks for any advice.

I am doing ED209 this year (the books arrive at the end of the month) - so I'll be able to comment further then; I did U212 last year and loved every minute (although the exam was horrible!!). Very Happy

Hope that helps - if you have any particular questions about U212 I'll be happy to help. Smile

Thanks Medusa.
I think I will most likely do U212, it sounds the most interesting to me. I have only just started with the OU E111 being my first course, are the level 2 courses much different or harder than the level 1. Don't want to bite of more than i can chew!!
Thanks

I loved ED209, I took it rather than U212 because I want to work towards a Psychology degree. ED209 is hard work as there is a lot to cover and the exam is intense so if you want an easy ride and you're not going for psychology U212 may be better; I also considered that one as it did sound really good and had lots of good reviews from this forum but it doesn't count towards my chosen degree and I can't afford to do additional courses.

Good luck with your studies ggeni
