i did E242 about 3 years ago, it was the predecessor to this course. cant say it was the best course i did, and not that diffcult either, but had to be done to get part of ym qualified TA status. when i did it we had 4 TMA to do and an exam at the end. i gather now it is 4 TMAs then a longer assignment instead of the exam? i did all my TMAs in the first month or so, that had to wait until october for the exam part which was really annoying.

yep 4 TMAs...all different and an ECA at the end

first TMA is discussing 2 articles, so i suggest looking for those now Buttercup, any article will do as long as they differ slightly in the models of disability that they use

i have some links, and some articles if you want them, i did put all my papers in the study but can let you have anything you would like

also there is a brilliant thread by Bluebell in here about everything in the course

have you got all the books etc yet Buttercup, they are quite wasy to read and some of the chapters in the readers are really interesting

also would be good to try and think about people that could be potential interviewees for the ECA...

That was really useful dq, thanks. I'm looking forward to getting stuck in to this but think I will struggle with the studying over the summer holidays as I have 3 young children. I'll just have to get organised and try to keep ahead of the timetable!!! Rolling Eyes

Hello I have just found you all I started e243 in Feb .
Sort of did ok on TMA 1

but really messed up footnotes thing on TMA 2 .
I am now dreading TMA 3

does anyone have any hints?

Hello Mrslemming,

I also started E243 in Feb. I have done ok so far, very good TMA 01 but not nearly so good for TMA02. I have only just started reading for the third one but we only have a month before this one is due in so I really need to get moving! Have you found anyone to interview yet? I'm really struggling with this bit.

E243 is great!! It was one of my favourite courses (although I may not have said that at the time!!) and I really enjoyed it.

I have no idea who to interview have a tutorial on saturday so hopefully we will get some ideas I'll let you know
