Feel a bit embarrassed asking this, but could anybody tell me how to correctly show a pupil the correct scissor grip. I have never come across a pupil who had absolutely no idea how to hold a pair. I helped him with a pair of trainer scissors but when I gave him his own he just couldnt do it, he was putting two fingers in one hole, then holding them upside down... Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks x

we use double handled training scissors in early years for shildren who really haven't got a clue or who have very poor fine motor control. the adult puts the childs fingers in the right hole then they put their own fingers in the second set so the child gets the idea of the action they need to use.

He is also visually impaired and I like the idea of the plastercine, to get the action going, I will also get the brain gym into action.
