Title says it all, turnaround for TMA's has been really slow. What are other people's experiences.

Finding TMA 05 really difficult to put together having really enjoyed the reading and the activities, I would really like to know the result of TMA04 because if it's good enough what I do with this TMA will be less important.

I have been really lucky my TMA have all been returned within a week of marking. I fully understand your frustration. It seems to me the whole OU is abit of a lottery when it comes to tutors, marking and advice. I have to say mine so far has been excellent, but I have heard others complaining about levels of support and differing advice.

I too am finding TMA 5 a complete nightmare, it's the first time I have not been able to write enough, having to waffle to fill word count which must mean I have missed something

Turnround is not slow its downright ridiculous - I know tutors have lifes but hey so do we and we have deadlines too.Got mine back today and at least im happy with the result however what the comments have picked up on are things i had to take out due to lack of room.Felt like sending it back and saying - yeah ok smarta$%^ where would you like me to put those bits??i think the OU should give tutors a definate time frame which is acceptable for marking and getting tma's returned and if there is a delay then we are notified - common courtesy i would have though!

Finally got mine back yesterday, I did as expected.

Isn't it funny how you can send in what you think is a complete load of tosh and get a good mark (TMA 03), then send in what you think is a masterpiece and get a lower mark (TMA 04).

Such is life, feel more settled about TMA 05 now, and as I'm experiencing more problems with this than any other I shall expect at least 93%....in my dreams!!

Good luck everyone.

PS It's Friday, it's persisting down with rain and the inspectors have been in, what time do you think is acceptable to open the bottle!

I've been fairly lucky and most of my TMA's have been returned within about 9 days of sending. I'm always a last minute person and have sent mine on the day before they are due.

I'm sure at the end of this course they will get us to fill in some sort of evaluation so it will be worth mentioning then how long your tutors took.

I know what you mean about the word count and including things. It is so annoying to have cut something out and then have a comment that it should have been included.
