I have been asked to create a bulletin board display for the Accelerated Reading program in our secondary school. They want pictures that emote "reach for the stars, achieve your goals" etc. I've found a bunch from magazines, but want to do a little more than just put up magazine pictures. There is also going to be a number of charts on the display to show the kids' progress, so have to leave room for them. I have also covered the board in black paper with a bright yellow border.

Any ideas at all would be appreciated!

Something that will be exciting to them. Would you have room for some stars and put people's faces inside them? A variety.Pop stars, actors,chefs(Jamie), authors, sportsmen. Perhaps you could then have a plastic pocket with cards with those people on and how they achieved their goals. I realise these might go missing but if you saved it you could replace them.( More work -I know)

Thanks for the suggestion. It's a good idea. In fact, the first question that the kids have been asking once they find out I'm from the U.S. is "have you met any movie stars?" So, they might really like seeing some celebrity figures on the board.

There you go then you could kid them on it might gain some interest.
