I`ve got my performance review coming up and whilst i`m interested in doing the level 3 NVQ its only run as an evening course where i live and its just not feasible for me to do it .I`d wondering how easy it would be to get the school on board for me doing the E111 in the meantime . I dont really want to stagnate my learning till the NVQ3 courses move to a different time slot .
Do those of you doing it get it payed for by your schools ? How do i work on the powers that be to fund me ( ie how do i get blood out of a stone ! )

I'd print off some of the stuff from the E111 page and show the HT that, sure they'd pay for the NVQ so this shouldn't be much different. I did this as my first OU course and really enjoyed it!

it is also worth considering that E111 is a level 4 qualification!

Yeah - that bit scares me buttercup !! If i did it i would be going from a level 2 qalification straight into a level 4 .I have a degree so i have `done` some tough work in my time .That was over 10 years ago though and the brain cells arent what they used to be ( especially after having 2 kids ) !!! Also i know the OU essays have a different style layout to them . Bit scared but i think i will do my best to convince the school its worth it ! .
Thanks for your replies Smile

I think if you have done a degree in the past you should have no problem with this course. I know many of the people at the tutorials I have been to have found referencing in the assignments one of the harder aspects.

I'm finding it really interesting and am just a volunteer helper at school at the moment.

thanks Cheesy .Yes the whole referencing thing sounds like a whole other language to me from what i have read .Plus a word limit !! That strikes fear into my heart . I know i have a tendency to waffle !
