I'm still in a quandry about what to do next. Really happy as a teaching assistant but seriously considering doing a degree with the OU and then a
teaching qualification.

Now I'm going to sound thick but can I do a degree in anything? I would like to be a primary school teacher (if anything) and in no rush to get there (my youngest is nine) but wondered what choices others had made?

If you want to go the degree route then I would recommend starting with E111- Supporting learning in primary schools as it would also be relevent to your job. It is also worth talking to your school to see if there is any funding available!

I would go for it, it's good for your own professional development even if you don't finish a degree as the OU has loads of 'stand alone' courses.
