I put Study Topic, but I did have a tutor who excluded in-text citations. The best thing to do is check with tutor.
The comments I had on ECA were all on content, not referencing etc.
Good luck with it |

Thanks for that Veggie! I've just been on the OU forum and Roger replied to the question about writing ST or Study Topic with this:
All ECA markers will accept either 'ST' or 'Study Topic'.
Best wishes
Roger
So that will do for me! It will save on quite a few words! I'm nearly there with the ECA, just a bit of tidying but then hopefully I'll post it next week...hurrah! Thanks very much everyone on this forum who have been so helpful over the months, especially last years E111ers as I benefited from reading their previous threads!
All the best everyone. |

Fingers crossed for you dolphin, let us know how you get on. I am sure you will be as much help to next years E111ers as we have been to you this year.
Are you doing any-more OU studies?? |

Well I've got 120 points at level 1 now so I really need to be moving up to level 2. Perhaps you can reassure me that it's not going to be too big a leap! I'm undecided whether to go down the 'Childhood and Youth Studies' route or do an English literature/language level 2 course. Either way I'll be continuing...just need to make my mind up! I hope to get paid work now as a TA having completed E111. At the moment I'm putting all my assignments in a binder with header sheets for each one with a little bit about the objectives, my C.V and also I've kept a diary whilst at school which I'll put in the binder too. Then if any interviews come up I can take it along as evidence...bit like a portfolio I suppose.
Anyway, the ECA has gone today thank goodness. Thanks for all the help everyone, it's been invaluable. |

The portfolio idea sounds great dolphin. Good luck.
Level 2's vary, I did child development (ED209) and it was a bit of a shock to the system with the amount of work needed - however it is said to be one of the harder level 2's. If you are still undecided maybe you could do a course that could possibly count for either course; this may give you a bit more time to make up your mind. The OU forum has a gizmo that lets you see which courses are required for a certain degree [and which overlap]
I will try to find the link if you can't access it yourself.
I bet you feel relieved that ECA has gone, it is a great feeling |

Thanks for all the help you have all given over the past few months, it has been a real help to have someone to moan, groan and question
Good luck to all my fellow E111, i am sure you won't need it.

I've lost all my paper work explaining about what we need to send with and include with ECA please can any one answer my questions- i'd be very very grateful.
Do we just put 3 copies into individual folders or can we ring bind each individual one - seem to have read it somewhere?
references: is it Reader 1 or 2 or do I write Collins and handcock (2005) then the page no?
What do I need for ECA?
contents page, appendix references anything else?????
last one: Do I put my name onto ECA or is it just reference number?
Thanx in advance
GT.x
then I can send the bl**dy thing off!!!!!!!! _________________ "I was born with a smile on my face" |

I went for the ring-bind option with mine

Collins and Handcock (2005, p. 4567) I think it preferable to Reader 1 etc

I think that is about it (apart from all the hard work!!) remember to make sure you have covered all the LO

I always put a header with name/PI number/TMA No on every page

I hope you soon get it sent off. Good luck, I hope my comments have helped |
