Hi all.
I've a massive favour to ask all the members of the forum. If you haven't already done so can you please sign up for the NHS Organ Donor Register (follow the link below). It only takes a couple of minutes and could save someone life. Over 8000 people need transplants but less than 3000 are carried out each year and 400 people died last year because a donor could not be found.
12,992,003 people – 22% of the population have already signed up, this is an amazing figure but it can also be seen that ONLY 22%.
If you already have signed up then thankyou but ask your family, collegues and friends (including children) if they have signed up.

This is something that is close to my heart as I've suffered from a kidney condition aall my life that means I may have to have a transplant and without one I could die (it's all wait and see at the moment so I'm not getting too down about it). I guess I'm being selfish!!

I'm sorry if this sounds a bit hard hitting and not the usual daft post that I put on here but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE WITH PINK (or whatever colour you prefer) RIBBONS on sign up today.

My whole family signed up when it started. I carry a card as well.

When I applied for my boots advantage card they asked me if I wanted to go on the register. Naturally I said yes, so I now have a little icon on my card which states this. (((HUGS))) Pinta

I am already joined on paper but I though I would do it online too.

Have sent an e-card to my 2 sisters and my Aunt. Unfortunatly the rest of my family will hear nothing of it. Stupid people. They should be lucky that they do not NEED a 'spare' heart.

Allthough I did specify which organs I'm comfortable donating. For some odd reason I don't want anyone to have my eyes. Is that a bad thing?

no im funny about my eyes too

glad i'm not the only one DQ lol.. most people give me odd looks when I tell them that.

I registered years ago when I think they were doing a pilot for the electronic register - will do it again to make sure!

(and I said everything except eyes then aswell!)

I too said that they can have everything but my eyes, I've got a real thing about others touching them. So maybe I not so weird as I thought.
