Last September we weren't told until the week after the beginning of the school year!!!!!!!!!!! For the first 10 days we were sent where we were needed each day.

We never hear until the last day of the summer term and often not until we get back in September. Even the Teachers don't know yet although they have been asked for their preference and their worst night mare. We are never asked. Evil or Very Mad

Have said the same as I am now, but wont know exactly till I get my timetable. I am guessing

5 periods of Year 11 science

5 periods of Year 10 science

3 periods of year 9 science

2 non-cotact periods - that leaves 8 for some year 7 & 8 science or some other bits

New DH is putting off the dreaded timetables as long as she can! Don't blame her I suppose, we would all really like to know but it's one hell of a job!!!
Sounds like they still haven't made up their minds whether or not some teachers will move, and I have a feeling some of the others might know something about possible PPA changes but have been told not to tell me so it's obviously still secret. Oh well, something to look forward to (or not). Very Happy

I work supply, so its like this nearly every week!!!!
Don't care where I go as long as it's not in foundation again Shocked
Just spent almost two weeks in foundation, mornings in one school, afternoons in another and have to say have found it really HARD work.
It's more like being a child minder, spending long hours at the sandpit or trying to show how exciting playdough can be Sad
Would rather work with teenagers!!!!
Normally work with years 1 to 4, just love the communication and feedback you get.

I am ending a 1:1 in July (cos they are off to high school) and moving down to year 3 with another 1:1. Its like starting all over again after 3 years with the same child.

Looking forward to the challenge again tho.

I'm not going to be a TA anymore, I'm trying to get back into my previous career in Radiography. I can't work as Radiographer where I live now (Germany) and being a TA was the only job available that appealed to me. I did enjoy it and think I did a good job too but we're moving back to the UK in the summer so I'm going back to the NHS... Got 2 interviews lined up so fingers crossed Smile
