Found a garage selling milk chews.........I buy 'several' packets when i'm passing Razz

I remember Pacers Andy mmmmm and always used to ask for a Caramac Easter egg yummy Razz

What were those little bubble gum things (cuboids?) called....you collected the inner wrappers and exchange so many for a 'gift' Confused

Tiger nuts....no really, they were little shrivelled, chewy things.

Don't remember tiger nuts but can still get lucky bags but aren't they rubbish nothing but tat but when you're a kid you love them Rolling Eyes

I loved tiger nuts and I was trying to think what the jamboree bags were called.

Sherbert pips mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
cough candy
chocolate limes

We used to have glucose sweets in the car. I think they were made by Pascall and were fruit sweets shaped like little loaves. Revolting things but we were always made to suck them as it was supposed to ward off travel sickness.

Yes we had to take them on trips aswell hollyw but they never stopped me from thowing up as I was a terrible traveller and not much better now thank goodness for travell sickness tablets Embarassed

Does anyone remember the red liquorish sherbet fountains? I hate black liquorish but loved the red liquorish ones. We also had sweets to suck when travelling they were an amber colour but my memory fails me on what they were called. We have a sweet shop down our high st that sells all the old style sweets. You can get them online at

I remember tiger nuts and those things that looked like twigs that you chewed till they were stringy. Lucky bags.....3d in old money! Penny Arrow bars mmmm, banana was my favourite. Penny McGowans toffee bars, goody fishes .. boiled sweets covered in sugar. Spangles . Does anyone remember the chocolate with boys faces? Fry's made it. ( really dating myself! )

somebody else remembers Nutty Bars!!!! <remembers to breathe> right, where was I, ah yes Nutty Bars, for years I have been telling my other half about them and all that time he thought I was making them up Shocked all he kept saying was "hmmm you can remember a bar called that?!?! Why am I not surprised?? Are you sure it was real, and not just something you imagined?" So now bless him he has had to give in and believe me Razz

I remember Pacers (school trip sweets, to stop you feeling sick!)

Who remembers Treats? Only to be replaced with M&M's peanut ones?

Have Cabana bars been mentioned yet? Always ALWAYS gave me toothache

we were given barley sugar to suck on long journeys and Keiller boiled sweets - square fruit flavours covered in icing sugar.

i still was travel sick! in fact still struggle if i'm sitting in the back.

Mmmmmm Treats. M&Ms are not the same, but Lidl do a sweet called Chocohoppers and they are just like old style peanut Treats. drool
