There seem to be a number of e-mails going the rounds at the moment purporting to be from paypal and Worldpay, there may be others. If you get one of these please don't open any attachments or try any links they contain . If you have any worries please contact the paypal or worldpay through their genuine web sites

Request for Personal Information: If we require information from you, we will notify you in an email and request that you enter the information only after you have safely and securely logged in to your PayPal account.

and then delete the email from your mailbox. Never click any links or attachments in a suspicious email.

IMPORTANT NEWS: Bogus emails: In the last few hours some customers have received at least one email from a 3rd party pretending to be WorldPay - some using the bogus address pay_support@worldpay and the name Ronald Grow - but other names and addresses may also be used. This email is not from WorldPay - we recommend you delete it and do not open any attachments it may contain.

I seem to get loads from all sorts of Banks and Paypal; but they're always to an e-mail address of mine that wouldn't be used for banking etc anyway, so that was a bit of a giveaway...

What made it click with me is it was sent to my hotmail email, but i use a different email account for my paypal. Maybe they are just sending out random hotmail ones as the address is easier to guess at.

yup! i've been getting loads of paypal, ebay and bank ones lately too... but on my WORK email! The bank ones are getting tricky though... the last one I got was a warning that there are fraudlent people trying to scam people through fake emails from banks.. so please click here to verify your information with us to ensure you have not been tricked by these criminals! Geez! I feel sorry for people who aren't computer savy or just too trusting.

had another one asking me to confirm details for a Visa credit card, which i know i didnt apply for

deleted it straight away
