writing assignment....need to suggest what a 5 yr old can do during pe lesson if she has broken leg and is in wheelchair.....

I don't think sit and watch would go down well.....

Any ideas..???

Not the same I know, but, If a child forgets kit at my school we get them to watch but alsoto writew about what the other children are doing. They also draw pictures. (especially if SEN)

Head and neck exercises. Work on the shoulders to maintain correct position of spine as she will be sitting a lot. Why don't you ring Physio Dept they might send you some exercise sheets.

Was also going to suggest ball skills.

Also depending on what doing they can be actively involved with keeping scores, etc. If outdoors, they could be involved in races, if you have enough open space, they would still be able to race along in their wheelchair.
