I've just had to go and get my girls from home because their school has just burned down Surprised

I'm not sure of the details yet but the smoke is billowing over to my school five miles away

I'm a parent governor at the school so i suppose I'll hear officially soon. I heard via rumours that it was on fire then my youngest phoned me but all i could hear was screaming, it was awful cus it was 20 minutes before I could actually get in touch with them to find out they were safe

seems everyone got out ok but they still haven't got the fire under control

Schools are easy to rebuild.But people are not so easy.

What an awful shock for you. i'm glad every one was alright. Give your girls an extra cuddle tonight.

I remeber when i was in high school part of our school burned down and we had a few weeks off Very Happy

everyones ok but my eldest should have mocks next week and i'm not sure if her coursework will have survived Sad

surely the exam board will have to take teachers assessments into account now?

no idea what happens now,the sixth formers coursework must have gone up in smoke and it looks like the main admin offices may have gone too

the heads just rang to confirm that the meeting we have booked for monday is still going ahead. we have to confirm the new pay structure and TLRs but i think the fire might just become top of the agenda. Poor woman sounds exhausted

my kids said she was only wearing a thin blouse with no jacket and it was pouring with rain so ahe was wet through, but she was running back and forward to the ambulances and pinching their blankets to wrap up all the youngsters who were wet cold and in shock
