Thought about it Veggie! I have read the first two pages so far and then ended up on the computer.lol

I am planning to do observations soon, but want to of read the blocks first, as i think it tells you how to go about the observations and the pen portrait...

Is anyone else trying to get the TMA's done quickly so they can start another course?

I'm hoping to start another and have got a short science one to do - I'm not that far ahead though, sadly. Hopefully will get some more done over the holiday. The science one is a bit scary. Shocked

All I know is it's an observation one isn't it????

I have printed off my assignments and given them to my class teacher to look through and told her to decide who she thinks would be a good subject to observe. I have an idea but I'll wait to see what she says.

After Christmas we start our geography in ks1 which is Barnaby bear so I told her to think about some activities I can do that will support my tmas[ 5] linking subjects etc. She said she will do that and make sure I have some activities I can lead and plan myself.
Last year we had great fun writing and receiving letters from Barnaby Bear's mum. I walk into class with the letter to year 1 which would be a starter for the literacy lesson. Then one 6yr old realised the envelope didn't have a stamp on it so we had to explain about fax machines so had to take them in groups to show them how one worked. lol

You really need a time to do the observation when you are not included in the classroom workforce. I ended up supproting the child I was observing and writing about myself in the assignment, although I didn't let on it was me he was talking to! Remember to simply write what you see and hear for the observation part, drawing conclusions comes later. Smile

I am doing the ob's over the next 2 weeks, it has been hard to arrange as the unit I work in does not teach curriculum based subjects!! I have had to gain permission to go into one of the mainstream schools I support, luckily they have been very supportive and teacher is giving me lesson plan and lots of input. This is my 2nd attempt as first school let me down!

I think most know thatI am starting another course in Feb - which I think is a level 2 - so I want to get ahead. This is not me showing off that I am ahead

I want to get obs done now then I can spend hols reading through the block and hopefully writing the TMA without the stress of work, I have a 4 days when hubby is back at work that I can slog on with it. I am a lonely friendless hermit!!

I also know that just with a brief skim of TMA 05 that I am going to need alot of time and imaginative writing to do that one!!!

TMA05 is harder than it looks. It is quite difficult to differentiate between the 2 aspects sufficiently and even tho I had discussed what I was doing and had my tutors agreement She still ended up marking me down. I was rather upset about that as I had explained at a tutorial and she had been very supportive. Telling me that she had swayed between a C and a B didn't help much either! Sad

I've not looked at TMA 05 yet and I'm not sure I want to now!

I think most know thatI am starting another course in Feb - which I think is a level 2 - so I want to get ahead. This is not me showing off that I am ahead [/quote] - veggie, I am very sure no-one thinks you are showing off, more likely an inspiration, I wish I could get further ahead but to be honest laziness is my problem! I like the soaps too much!!

I am going to try and push on over the next couple of weeks as holidays are the worst time to catch up for me as I have 3 children at home rather than 1 baby who naps two hours a day.

Good luck with your obs veggie, hope it is more successful this time!

Yes Veggie, good luck with the obs. I am nowhere near as far as you (still working on study topics for tma 3 and haven't even worked out what I am going to do for my activity) but then I am not as brave as you and starting a new course in Feb! I will get going eventually Smile

I'm planning ahead and have managed to do an observation focussing on literacy. I wanted to do a PE observation as well but with the christmas concerts etc i am not sure if i will be able to do that one yet. I was wondering about obseving D & T, making wind up toys, but not sure. Help!!

has anyone had their TMA 02 back yet?
