When our Reception children start school they have name badges made for them, in previous years they have been fixed to the childs sweatshirt or t-shirt using safety pins - does anyone know of an alternative because they always end up with holes in the clothes because of the pins, or any other ideas for their name labels.

Thanks

Missyd

cant they use name tags with the holders that go round their necks, safety issues can be solved by using the instant opening ones that we have in our dept, so if they get caught they open and dont strangle anyone!

how long do they need to wear them? other option would be sticky name tags, not practical though for wearing for a long time tho

Sticky labels and use laminated ones on their place on desk. Velcro ones on choosing boards.

Does you school use lables on work books? if so ask at the office for some of the sticky lables and a copy of the templete for Word, then type the names out and print out a weeks worth of labels.

have you ever seen the little clasp type things inside a new packet of bandages it has stretchy piece in the middle and two clasps that just hook on to whatever you need.

Sticky labels work for us too and if they have been fiddled with and lost their sticky we put sellotape over them
