Hi all.
It may be that I am being totaly thick but I can't get this TMA straight in my head.
Part 1 the children
here we talk about the children Pen portrait, IEP, statement and their learning needs in the subject
Part 2 Focus for support
Here we talk about the lesson focus and learning outcomes and link those learning out comes to the curriculum/scheme of work.
Part 3 step by step guide
This is where I get stuck. Is this like a lesson plan where we say what we will do and what the children will do and what we hope to achieve by it?
Part 4 Intergrating ICT
Is this the part where we talk more in general about how ICT can be used to support curriculum learning and children in general. Also mentioning how our activity can benefit from ICT

Am I on the right tracks with this, I also feel it will be hard to reference much in this TMA.
Any suggestions would be a great help.
I have been off work with flu for past week so have not done any new activities, however I do alot of ICT normally so am thicking back to previous lessons to write this one, hasn't helped that the whiteboard in the class has been out of action for past month, broken, and company who installed them gone bust!!

Any ideas would be gratefully recieved

color=red]Here we talk about the lesson focus and learning outcomes and link those learning out comes to the curriculum/scheme of work. also add how you will approach it and why considering any needs of the children [differentiation? yep
] This is your content of the lesson [introding the learning outcome/and the steps you will take. [linking to evidence of what you suggest to material from course book [bring in your theories of learning here if your structure of delivering the session applies to any of them]

Part 4 Intergrating ICT

I intergrated ICT as I went along. For maths my activity started with ICT by using a camera to take pictures of shapes out side. so it depends in which order you use the ICT
[Am I on the right tracks with this, I also feel it will be hard to reference much in this TMA. yes you are definately on the right track. just look at what you are writing [why and what you will do and link to what others say in course book] I will do this.......etc....... so and so in chapter .... believes this to be an effective strategy because..........Any suggestions would be a great help.

Bluebell you are a star. Feel more confident about writing now. Will try to make a start tonight as tomorrow we have an end of term curry night for all staff. Hope to blow away the last of the cold.
Thanks again

Hi Think of a literacy based activity you have seen involved in with reception and apply it to Year 1.

I did a story [Hungry caterpillar] which then linked to ks1 literacy objectives of repetitive language]

So LOOK at Y1 objectives, find a story [fairy story?] link it to ICT someway, [speaking and listening?/computer?] Just remember ICT is not just work on the computer. It could be the use of cameras/tape recorders/smart board/ etc......

In Y1 it doesnt even have to involve writing [depending on your objective] it might involve the role play area to support literacy speaking and listening.

Have a look

I need a little advice. I have finished writing the Math part of TMA 6,
(y2) using software on computers, ICT games etc for money problems. Now writing the science activity (y4) when we used an interactive cdrom on the white board looking at skeleton and bones.
The trouble I have is that I seem to be repeating myself alot even tho they are different topic and age groups. The ICT is very similar and the intergration bit is much the same.
Does that sound as daft to you as it does to me Exclamation Not sure I am even writing what they want anymore.
Any ideas please.

How are you getting on ggeni? I used ICT in different ways in my 06 so there wasn't much of a cross over. I know I relied quite heavily on the NC guidelines as a filler for why ICT was used and how that related to the activity. Did you differentiate any of the activities for SEN pupils? That may make a difference to how you write up each part?

Sorry I didn't answer sooner, I hope my comments have helped in some way.

Thanks all.

hug
I have just finished TMA 6 and sealed it in the envalope. Razz
I was not really happy with this one which is a shame as I love ICT and do a lot in school. I kept wanting to write about ICT in general and integrating it into learning in general not just math and science.
Veggie, thanks for the reply. Yes I did do SEN and EAL so that padded it out abit. I will have a Sunday off now before I start reading for ECA.

I've finally put this TMA in the envelope, I then come on this site and think I should've done that or wow that's a good idea, am I tempted to open the envelope.....not on your nelly....I loved writing up the activity plans, something I used to do a lot of, but not in this job. I actually enjoyed writing the TMA, but I know that my tutor will pick me up for things that have ended up in the recycle bin. Oh well, only the ECA left and that's nearly double the word-count, 6 DOWN 1 TO GO

GOOD LUCK
