For this I mentioned paper recycling bins we have all over school. Outside we have bins for food waste which is then composted. Large items to be disposed of (ie cardboard boxes, ex display items) can be put directly in outdoor bins. Rubbish bins are emptied daily. Nappy disposal or toilet accidents are sealed in 2 plastic bags and disposed of in toilet bins. Medicines never disposed of by staff, needles must be disposed of in a Sharps box, obtained on prescription from childs doctor. Local Authority environmental services arrange collection. Broken glass is wrapped and labelled for the caretaker to dispose of.

That's about it, not a huge amount! Mine has been signed off ok!
