A few weeks ago I was in the same situation. I sent in over 20 application forms across the county looking for a job in primary schools. I received around eight replies asking for me to attend an interview.
I got that fed up with the same lines so I brought it up in the interview.
I didn't get the job I applied for but they gave me something else. I don't know what got me the job but I'm know employed.
It's your right to feel angry but please don't give up. You will get there!

Don't give up, keep trying.
At least you got feedback. My son recently went for an interview for a line of upmarket fashion shops. Lucky to get an interview as 100s applied. The interview was done in a High Street coffee shop, took 10 minutes. I know his CV and interview technique are good as that is what I train teenagers in. He came home buzzin, told me all about it, in great detail. Alarm bells ringing but I didn't say anything - interview 10 minutes!
Next, thing we hear? Nothing, not a dickie bird, the new shop has opened, fully staffed. No postcard, text - nothing to say sorry, unsuccessful. I can understand it if you haven't been interviewed, no I can't it still is rude not to acknowedge the CV and application.
I told - suggested that he phone them ask them for feedback. He is a teenager, he won't. Won't even walk past the shop, or ever buy anything from them again. I just hope this hasn't put him off working - ever! |
