hi i wonder if anyone can help me out.
I started my new job september. One of the form tutors have been on the sick since the beginning of term, I have been covering her form class more or less since then.I am new to the role of coversupervisor,i have never covered registration before. I am not really sure what i am supposed to do. we are together for 20 mins. have asked but nobody seems to give me straight answer. any advice would be much appreciated Confused

hmmm well its probably different in every school but in our morning registration is very short so just go through register and any announcements/reminders for the day

afternoon is a little longer so they tend to have to read their reading book while registrater is taken and then maybe spot checks on organisers to see if they are filling in/doing homework.

its also a good time to do uniform/equipment checks

Your line manager should be able to give you the information you want. If not ask the teachers what they normally do for registration. We cover the register, bullentins, uniform checks, organisers and homework and any other matters.

thanks guys
today i did just that. checked uniform and planners. got them to do any homework that was incomplete ect ect. the kids didnt like it much but they did comply
