I've just started my first post as a TA and have been timetabled to do EMAG with year 4, 5 and 6 to improve there speaking and listening skills and I am feeling completely lost.

I'm doing storytelling which ties in with their literacy and getting them to make up stories and thinking how they can improve their sentences etc. But other then this i'm a little stuck as to what else to do with them.

If you could give any advice or resources they would be greatly appreciated.

could you look at stories from their own countries, either written or passed down by storytelling..and get them to write and illustrate simple versions?

also try to get the group to ask andd answer questions or act out the stories
