Hi has anyone got a template or pdf of a booklet that an autistic child can fill in to smooth the transition process when moving through school years.
Thanks

Is this transition in the same school (ie not from primary to High?). As he's autistic I would probably taylor a book to him, losts of visual clues and photos of key staff, classroom, table where he'll sit, tray, cloak room, along with a visual timetable in there (if has already been compiled)

Not sure if I have understood you correctly but............

I have always just made one. A simple story really using a page for each new thing,

my name is
next year I will be in class ?
My teacher will be
anything relevant to your child, for example next year my 1:1 will no longer have an afternoon playtime.

I take photos of key staff, cloak room, toilets, play areas etc.

You may also want to show them where they will sit in assembly etc as sitting in a different place can change the whole perspective of a room!

Also, not clear if this is a booklet to help the child, or one to help the staff.

For the child, I make one up - lots of photos, backed up by visits to the classroom and some "practice runs".
