Hi, I'm new to the site but am looking forward to finding out what the site can do for me!

I am at the very start of my NVQ Level 2 course am trying not to be too daunted by it! I have been looking on the internet on tips on how to write a reflective statement on my role vs teachers role. I don't even know how to begin or how many words I should write!

Any help would be appreciated.

I remember that first assignment and feeling the same but it does get easier when you work out what they want. Hasn't your tutor given you any guidelines on content or word count?

Hi, thanks for your reply. Our Tutor comes in to see us every 2 weeks, unfortunately due to the snow I missed her 1st visit! I have since found out that this was not our 1st assignment, our first one was to give brief overview on school policies. So, not knowing how many words (min/max) we were supposed to use I rang her myself and cleared up the confusion.

I do have the handbook you spoke about, plus I've also ordered a Supporting Literacy and Numeracy: A Guide for Learning Support Assistants and a Teaching Assistants Handbook. I also have subscription to a Learning Support Magazine.

Thanks for your help, I guess it's all a learning curve!
