I have just returned home from spending the day at Eureka. worn out.
However I must say that the children (who are only 4 and 5 year olds) where fantastic considering that we travelled by train after a 15-20 min walk.
On a down side the children got bored with the two 30min slots at the beginning of the sessions and just wanted to explore which when allowed to did with all their senses and imagination.

The trip went well and no-one got burnt (thankfully) but very hot and the kids were constantly thirsty, One had no sandwiches so teacher gave him half of hers. That was as bad as it got so i think it was ok. Had to laugh though, got called a jezabell by the school master (victorian classroom) for having long nails and had the cane across my hand (pretend) the year 5s were cheering at this point (cheeky monkeys). Then we had to do some writing on slates and he came round to look at them and when he looked at mine he asked me "no phone number then"

Reminds me of when we took the girls to Wigan Pier several years ago - we were called Jezabel for wearing makeup, nail varnish etc and for having 'chandeliers in your ears'!

Been asked to go to Hook Court in October for 2 nights with yr4 you have to dress up in Tudor costumes! Really not sure about this, but I guess it could be fun.
