Hi. I really want to work in a school and I've requested an application form for a teaching assistant vacancy at a local primary school. I was just wondering if anyone could give me any tips on what to include on the application form, and also any interview tips (just in case I get that far!). Thank you!

A bit of background info... I'm almost 19 years old and I'm currently working in an office, bored out of my skull! My highest level of education is A level. I started an English Lit degree at Leeds Met last September but didn't enjoy it, so I left in a bid to find out what direction I wished to take. I've always wanted to go into teaching and I plan on applying for a teaching degree in the future. I have applied for the CACHE Level 2 certificate for teaching assistants at my local college (starting Sep 06) and I currently volunteer at my old primary school every Friday. Other than this, I don't have much experience and I don't have any relevant qualifications...

Thanks for any help you can give me! Smile
