I work in the Nursery and I need gloves!
It is very fun though! Would not change it for the world. _________________ Please Visit My New Website!

Long may it continue! I don't work in Nursery anymore but I can remember when I did, and if they feel sick they tell you immediately before it happens. Plastic pinny, rubber gloves : must have equipment for nursery!
Hope you enjoy it though, those little people are very special indeed. _________________ A balanced diet is a Mars bar in each hand. |

Hi all,
I also work one and a half days a week in a reception/year 1 class but they are mostly reception. I have used my rubber gloves a few times lately - we had a spate of S&D just before Christmas!
There is definitely never a dull moment with the little ones is there? I'm doing an NVQ at the moment and I found it really difficult doing the behaviour unit because they're all just lovely really - they might do throw the odd wobbly but they're all great to be with. |

ha ha was just having a giggle to myself bout the gloves.
Always have a pair in my pocket and have needed lots this week!
Seems to me that this term is always tricky as the little summer born children have just started full time.

Hi all
I started supporting several children in Nursery and migrated with them until Year 1. I then got a full time job working in Reception and I am loving every minute ... well almost The mishaps just keep happening when you least expect them to |

i have followed the same class from reception (where i was a volunteer reader) to year one where i worked as a 1:1 into year two where i continued as a 1:1. my pupil moves to junior school in september, and i will stay in the infants. i'm with year two again next year.
the difference between the little infants and the big infants is really noticeable. can definitely see the year twos beginning to grow up.
its amazing how many infants come down with a 'poorly tummy ache' the minute they spy their mummies bringing their little siblings into the nursery in the afternoon. the mums fall for it every time, lol. |

Hello I have just joined the forum and found this is my section....
I work in a nursery class and have done so for 4 years, before that I worked in a private school and worked with nursery and reception, so I have always worked with the foundation stage. I did do the year 1 and year 2 readers and I really enjoyed that and I miss it. I will be working with year 1 and year 2 from september taking sulp groups for 20 mins twice a week and I am really looking forward to that.
Look forward to chatting to you all.
